It has more features, but most of them aren't extremely useful in my opinion. The biggest feature of the AVC-R that is useful is that you are able to control boost in each gear and by RPM which can be useful, but for the most part isn't very accurate. At high boost, the AVC-R isn't at ALL accurate at controlling boost, while the EVC EZ is rock solid. With a decent wastegate the EVC EZ will be at the boost level you specify, ALL the time, while in my experience the AVC-R isn't accurate whatsoever, it fluctuates by as much as 0.5 bar, one of our shop cars has the AVC-R and my experience with it has been nothing but negative, its hard to set up, difficult to tune, doesn't control boost very well, and is basically an expensive, nice looking toy. If you want a real boost controller get a EVC EZ, or even blitz DSBC, or HKS EVC Pro... IMO every boost controller on the market including a manual boost controller is better than AVC-R. -wc
